Tennessee Titans receiver Treylon Burks has had a disappointing start to his NFL career.

Compared to former Titan A.J. Brown, who was traded to the Eagles for the No. 18 pick that was used on Burks in 2022, the Titans WR has battled a series of injuries plus a bout with asthma as a rookie. He’s been limited to just 22 games during his first two seasons, collecting 49 catches for 665 yards and one TD.

Meanwhile Brown, who just signed a massive three-year, $96M extension with Philadelphia, has 194 catches for 2,952 yards and 18 TDs in two seasons with the team and was a pivotal piece in the Eagles’ run to Super Bowl LVII.

But the good news for the 24-year-old wideout is his new head coach Brian Callahan is an offensive guru who helped Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins produce multiple 1,000-yard seasons when he was offensive coordinator of the Cincinnati Bengals.

So, if there’s a coach that can help Burks reach his potential, it’s him.

“He’s going to do a little bit of everything,” Callahan said during a radio interview with 104.5 The Zone. “… He’ll be able to do some stuff outside. Ultimately, it’s my role and our coaching staff’s role to find a handful of things that he can really help us with and highlight those as much as possible. Some of them might be in the slot, some of them might be outside, but I’m fired up and I think he’s got a chance to help us.”

Burks showed flashes of being a potential No. 1 WR as a rookie. He finished with 33 receptions on 54 targets with 444 yards and a touchdown.
